Most hardware stores' building supplies are usually quite large and unwieldy. When you want to build something small there aren't many good options. This is where MakerBeam comes in handy. It's simple, small, and strong. The possibilities are endless. Whether it's a small bracket to support something, or a larger structure, MakerBeam is up to the challenge. Making things has become a bit of a lost art in today's abundance of disposable consumer products. I find it very fulfilling to make things and be able to do it easily. I often would resort to using Lego, or Erector, but they aren't able to handle heavier structural loads. The aluminum and stainless steel brackets are very good quality. Although it's so much fun, it's not a disposable toy. It's the real deal. Go for it, you will be very pleased with MakerBeam! Update April 2022: Still loving these kits. I've continued to grow my collection of Makerbeam and have built multiple computer cases, structural supports for various electronics, and even stands for microphones.
