The original OEM filter came with a foam strip around the edge that this one doesn’t include, but that wasn’t a dealbreaker for me. If needed, you could easily add your own foam strip to create a similar seal. The filter itself seems well-made and performs just as well as the OEM version—at a fraction of the cost. It's a great value, especially if you keep an eye out for sales. I’ll definitely be purchasing this brand again now that I’ve figured out how to remove the glove box (just a few screws) to access the filter. Replacing the cabin air filter yourself is a simple DIY that can save you a few bucks, and you can take your time doing it right. As part of my yearly maintenance, I also like to spray Lysol into the vents to help reduce bacteria from moisture buildup—just make sure to remove the filter first and let the vents dry completely before reinstalling.
