Review: Thoroughly impressed! Works MUCH better than hardened steel! - I really wanted to get into printing some glow-in-the-dark filament; and had seen horror stories of certain filaments just tearing through brass nozzles. There is certainly an argument to be made that brass nozzles are cheap and for the price of one of these 'exotic' nozzles, you could buy a dozen brass ones, but I don't want to deal with that. Waiting for print quality to deteriorate, then having to partially disassemble my extruder to get a wrench around the hotend (dumb design)... I tried hardened steel to really awful results. Even printing 20º over brass nozzle temps still somehow resulted in poor layer adhesion, poor bed adhesion - and all sorts of weird print quality issues. Most of these went away if I slowed down the print, but that's not worth it IMO. I really wanted to try a diamond nozzle after watching @ZachFreedman's review and factory tour on Youtube, but $100 is still real steep. Somehow only then I became aware of these Ruby nozzles and they seemed like the perfect combo of good thermals, durability, and price - so I took a shot. Long story short, I'm never going back. Print quality is amazing. I haven't compared the same print side-by-side, but I swear this nozzle prints silk/glossy filament better and leaves a shinier surface finish than brass. I've only run about 500g of glow filament through it so far, but so far, no nozzle wear. Still prints bang-on dimensions from when I calibrated my extruder just after swapping it in. I did wear a chunk out of a plastic trim bit at the top of my gantry where the glow filament was sliding over though! If you're here because you're not satisfied with your hardened steel nozzle - this is the fix. Is it an upgrade over brass if you're not concerned about wear? That's debatable. Also I've heard Titanium nozzles transfer heat better, too - but I haven't given them a shot. I don't have any reason to now!
Review: Picked up all sizes after trying the 0.6mm - I picked up the 0.6mm nozzle and have tried it on a few prints. Other than the different profile of the tip end, the physical nozzle does appear to be the same overall dimensions as my existing E3DV6 nozzle. I tried the 0.6mm on a PLA print I had done previously with a plain brass nozzle. I used the same gcode file and the print came out excellent, without any issues or poor quality. I then used it for an ASA print. I realize you can print ASA with a plain brass nozzle but I wanted to compare results with this nozzle. That print also print came out with very good quality and no issues. I like how these nozzles seem to be able to use the same settings as a plain brass at the same size and should last much longer due to the ruby tip. I will be trying some abrasive materials soon, so I went ahead and ordered 0.4mm and 0.8mm Ruby nozzles based on the performance I have seen so far. Being able to print abrasive filaments without the issues/stringing usually associated with hardened steel nozzles will be a big plus. Value for money: time will tell if these are with the extra cost. If they manage to last nearly as long as hardened steel, then I think they very much will be.

## Features

- Compatibility: Compatible with all 3D Printers that use Volcano nozzle;
- Genuine Ruby: MOD3DP takes geniune ruby as the tip material for all its ruby series nozzles. It offers excellent durability and resistance to highly-abrasive filaments like carbon fiber, glass-infused materials, or metal-filled filaments;
- Excellent Thermal Conductivity: Brass body can guarantee an excellent thermal conductivity from your 3D Printer's heater block to the nozzle;
- Funnel Shaped Nozzle: MOD3DP's Ruby nozzle is carefully cut and polished to have funnel shape structure. This will avoid accumulating material at the dead corners in this way to reduce risk of carbonization and nozzle blockage;
- One For Any Material: Having great performance in printing highly abrasive materials, less abrasive materials such as PLA, ABS or Nylon are never challenges for it. Ruby nozzle can improve the nozzle service period in an obvious way, keeping you free from replacing nozzles frequently.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ It worked well for 2 months
*by R***Y on December 6, 2023*

It worked amazingly well during the first month and a half, 2 months. I was printing amazing quality stuff and then it started getting clogged, then under extrusion started to become a big issue even though it's the same gcode/files. Tried clearing it up, cleaning it and it worked well for 2 days... then back to giving me issues. maybe it's just me? EDIT: Just wanted to update and say that the company reached out to me, gave me feedback and suggestions and was very helpful overall. Unfortunately my printer didn't make it long enough for me to properly try out the solutions. Overall, this ruby tip nozzle is amazing compared to the common ones. I will give it 5 stars because of the amazing quality it did provide.
