At the bottom there is a small knob that you turn that will bring the silver metal out depending on the width of the bottle **Q: Can i use the quick release bracket on this** A: Sorry, don't understand the question. The cage has two universal holes for fixing to whatever. If the quick release bracket you refer to has standard fitting points on it, it should work. I have fixed to the Topeak adapter which fits to handlebars for my kids bikes, not aware of a quick release adapter. I also tried it fitted to a Topeak bracket for rise and fall seat posts, but ended up using the standard fixing points instead and returning that bracket. I use 500ml Nalgene bottles in these cages and they click in perfectly as if they were designed for them. **Q: Does this come with mounting screws?** A: No, you will need to use the mounting screws already on your bike if you have them. The other thing is the mounting screws will need to be a certain length as the ones in my mountain bike were too short. Excellent cage though. **Q: I don’t want to drill my bike frame, can the modula cage be attached using cable ties?** A: Zip-ties would not be an ideal way to attach a bottle cage to a bike, as they would be subject to movement, particularly on round-section frame tubes. Most cycle frames have at least one pair of bottle cage mounts (2 x bolts, about 6" apart), but if yours doesn't, you could use a Topeak Cagemount. It would have been nice if they could have added different sizes of bolts for piece of mind even if it meant charging a little more for the product.
