Review: So real it hurts, beautifully painful. - Amy Reed is a wonderful artist, I haven't read anything except this book of hers, but I can tell you with complete certainty that I will. I knew. So far before she came out and told us, I saw myself. My struggle, my pain, written so smartly there on the pages for the world to see... And I felt proud. I felt heard and understood, so much less alone. This beautiful book written entirely in emails between two teens is quite possibly the best thing I've read. It rips Go Ask Alice to shreds with love and understanding and open honesty. This books looks into the soul of mental illness and says "Hey, I'm here and it's okay, you are going to get through it." I am so grateful to Ms Reed, truly. I will rec this book to every person I know.
