Radclyffe continues to excel with great characters, quality research and hot romance. Not all writers can make walking upstairs into quality fore play! This is a police procedural, written from the POV of the Medical Examiner, as Olivia shows newcomer Jay around the system. Jay has been forced into a new career path after a devastating injury forcibly retired her from being a surgeon. Fans of the brilliant 'Justice' series will be thrilled to find a whole host of familiar characters get an outing as the M.E.'s find themselves picking up the pieces of a turf war between the Zamora crime syndicate and the Salvadoran 'new kids on the block'. Hopefully this will be an entree into a combined services storyline for the Justice team. The romance between Olivia and Jay clearly has room for further development, as does the evidence chain. (The inconclusive thread of finding the distributors of the new killer drug on the streets is the reason I deducted a half-star from the rating). Radclyffe is always worth a read.If you like this, try Lori Lake's 'gun shy' series, McLeods 'Actual Stop', D.L.Line has some quirky investigators and for a darker style of f/f crime try R.E. Bradshaw and her FBI profiler Rainey Bell. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Venturing into the science of death - brilliantly done. Romance is ok too! *by A***N on Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 23 September 2017* A new foray for Radclyffe into the world of medical examiners- i.e. The morgue. I thought the descriptions of death scene science and practice were totally compelling - always the medical world is where Radclyffe is at her best. The romance is of course the other reason one loves a new Radclyffe. Old friends from "Justice" return as police departments and doctors and MEs team up. These characters would make a great series.
