Review: Effective and Easy-to-Use Central Heating Inhibitor - I recently used the Everbuild P14 Central Heating System Inhibitor in my home heating system, and I'm quite satisfied with its performance. As someone who values maintaining a well-functioning heating system, this product has proven to be a reliable choice. Pros: Effective Protection: The inhibitor does an excellent job of protecting the central heating system from corrosion, limescale, and sludge build-up. After using it, I noticed an improvement in the efficiency of my radiators, which heat up more quickly and evenly now. Ease of Use: The 1-litre bottle is straightforward to use and contains clear instructions. Adding it to the system was a simple process, even for someone with minimal plumbing experience. It’s compatible with most types of boilers and central heating systems, making it versatile. Cost-Effective: For the price, this inhibitor offers good value. It’s an affordable way to extend the life of your heating system and avoid costly repairs or inefficiencies. Long-Lasting: The protection it provides is long-lasting, meaning you don't have to add it frequently. This makes it a convenient option for ongoing system maintenance. Cons: Small Coverage: The 1-litre bottle is sufficient for a typical household system, but if you have a larger system or multiple zones, you might need more than one bottle. It’s something to consider when purchasing. Pouring Challenges: The bottle design could be improved for easier pouring, especially if you’re adding it directly to a radiator or filling loop. A spout or nozzle would have been helpful to avoid spills. No Clear Indication of Effectiveness: While I noticed an improvement in system performance, it’s hard to measure the exact impact of the inhibitor without specific testing equipment. You have to trust that it’s doing its job, which can be a bit of a leap of faith. Conclusion: The Everbuild P14 Central Heating System Inhibitor is a reliable and cost-effective solution for maintaining your central heating system. It’s easy to use and provides effective protection against common issues like corrosion and limescale. While there are a few minor drawbacks, such as coverage limitations and pouring challenges, it’s overall a solid choice for anyone looking to improve their heating system's efficiency and longevity.
Review: Effective heating system protection, easy to use, and compatible with various system materials - ⭐ The Everbuild P14 System Inhibitor is supplied in a 1-litre bottle and is designed to prevent scale, sludge, and corrosion in central heating systems. It is suitable for systems with up to 10 radiators, although my setup includes more. With some radiators switched off and varying in size, the initial bottle seemed sufficient. I decided to purchase a second bottle to ensure continued protection, as it can be added to the header tank to replenish the system over time. The inhibitor is compatible with microbore systems, plastic or fibreglass header tanks, and all common heating metals, including aluminium. It contains no mineral oil, making it suitable for both new installations and extensions to existing systems. It was easy to use and represents good value. ✔️

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Should be standard on all CH systems.
*by M***P on 19 August 2018*

Our house was built in the 60’s and some of the plumbing might still be original. I’ve replaced as much of the CH pipework as practicable and drained the system more times than I care to remember. Every time I open the draincocks the water appears crystal clear, yet when I replace pipework or a rad there is oxidised gunge in there. I decided to fill up and add some system cleaner and an Adey magnaclean and run it for a month or two. Drained it out and some dirt came out but not masses. It certainly isnt a silver bullet. I refilled and added this Everbuild Inhibitor which I added through the magnaclean filter. If you don’t have one of them then you can put it in via the header tank if you have one in the loft, or via a radiator vent valve, via a funnel and a small piece of garden hose. I’d recommend a towel rail if you have one as they are generally higher than all other radiators and will drain first when you open the drain cock. I will have to add another again soon as I drained down to move a radiator and replace some god awful pipework that had more elbows than a covent garden bar on friday night. The Magnaclean filter is definitely pulling the black ooze out and this inhibitor stuff is keeping things quiet. After spending about 400 quid servicing the boiler and fitting a new diverter valve and pump, I’ll certainly take another punt on this stuff keeping it ticking over nicely.
