The second item is: "put 2 AA alkaline batteries in the battery box".I'm sorry, but there is no battery box, or if there is, it is hidden away behind some secret lever or something. I turned the device every which way, I pushed and pulled it, and there is simply no battery box. And there is no.... ah, wait a minute, I have it a new try and it seems part of the device can be pushed back, probably to reveal a battery box beneath it. However, there is no key on the leaflet to show you this; I found it simply by pushing and pulling all the parts. This is no way to sell a device. I'm not sure yet if it will work. I was determined to return it but perhaps I will just give it a try now. However, I am annoyed that this function is so inadequately described.
