I can't say if the carbon affects the fertilizer in any negative way as I started using both at the same time. However. I can say that the plants are thriving and growing well. **Q: Does this effect the nitrate level, if i put stuff in to reduce nitrates is it reducing the benefits of this product ?** A: You must get nitrates under control before you add this as it will effect the nitrate leave just think of nitrate as plant food just as this product is hope that helps **Q: How much do you dose 1 cap per week ? 200lt tank** A: It tells you the dosage in the side of the bottle.
