A little goes a LONG way! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Reliable and long lasting *by F***9 on 7 February 2022* I have bought this item many times in the past (not from Amazon though!) as I always use this when making up my (4) hanging baskets for the year. I usually put the old basket filling, still with some water retaining gel, into pots where the gel can still do its job or even out in the garden where it can biodegrade safely between the plants. Consequently, I can say that this product is : - easy to use (I add it to the dry soil etc mix before adding it to the baskets to ensure that it is distributed as evenly as possible through the material) - fairly long lasting (as stated already there is often still gel left in the material at the end of a year in the basket, so I try to reuse it in pots where I can) - certainly retains enough water to keep the hanging baskets from totally drying out during the day even in a windy location (2 of the hanging baskets are in windy situations which dries them out, so I should know!). Hint : When wet, this looks like and feels very like clear jelly and swells up considerably, so leave a little more space than usual at the top of the basket to account for the 'growth' of the gel when wet.
