The sideboard is a mid-century G Plan thing that looks great but isn’t really suited to having a load of heat-producing boxes inside. I’d cut a sizeable hole in the back already but with the AV amp and an XBox running it soon got toasty in there. So I added a couple of 80mm fans... which helped, by it still got a little too hot. Next I added a couple of 120mm fans and this little controller. One of the bigger fans was cut into the rear of the sideboard and the other sits inside. Now the temperature perfectly controlled - the fans fire up when needed and the temp soon drops. The 120mm fans aren’t AC Infinity branded but work fine. The smaller fans are AC Infinity ones and noticeably better quality. Overall I’m very pleased with this - and the fans. A great bit of kit and a decent price. Top work! Review: Great Controller - This is a great fan controller with a good set of features. The text is white on a black background. Mine looked just like the one in the picture. I have connected 2 AC Infinity Fans to it and the system works great but plan oñ adding a 3rd which I have ordered. I have mine set to smart mode and have the temperature showing C not F. I set the temperature I want to maintain and put the controller into smart mode and it just works. I would highly recommend this controller. ## Features - Intelligent thermal fan controller with on-board processor and digital LCD display. - Controls up to six AC Infinity Cabinet and USB Fans, see below for compatibility. - Automated programming that self-adjusts cooling power in response to changing temperatures. - Features an alarm system, display lock, six fan speeds, two buffer options, and power failure memory. - Complete kit includes precision thermal probe, mounting screws, and power wall adapter ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B00NG9TSG4 | | Brand | AC Infinity | | Colour | black / black | | Country Of Origin | China | | Customer Reviews | 4.7 out of 5 stars 905 Reviews | | Display Type | Digital | | Included Components | Precision thermal probe, mounting screws and power wall adapter | | Item Dimensions L x W x H | 13.2L x 7.9W x 2.8H centimetres | | Item Highlight | Auto Temperature Programming w/ Thermal Probe, LCD Display, 6 Fan Speed Control, for AIRPLATE, MULTIFAN in AV Cabinet Cooling | | Item Weight | 181 g | | Item weight | 181 g | | Manufacturer | AC Infinity | | Manufacturer Part Number | AI-ATC | | Material | Plastic | | Model Number | AI-ATC | | Number of Items | 1 | | Operating Temperature | 32 Degrees Fahrenheit | | Product dimensions | 13.2L x 7.9W x 2.8H centimetres | | UPC | 854759004402 | | Unit Count | 1.0 count | | Voltage | 5 Volts | ## Product Details - **Brand:** AC Infinity - **Colour:** black / black - **Material:** Plastic - **Product dimensions:** 13.2L x 7.9W x 2.8H centimetres - **Voltage:** 5 Volts ## Images ![AC Infinity Standard Thermal and Speed Fan Controller - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/51qsHxAlJOL.jpg) ![AC Infinity Standard Thermal and Speed Fan Controller - Image 2](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/61FaCX27x4L.jpg) ![AC Infinity Standard Thermal and Speed Fan Controller - Image 3](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/61-T-0x04wL.jpg) ![AC Infinity Standard Thermal and Speed Fan Controller - Image 4](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/61AGBCu9ruL.jpg) ![AC Infinity Standard Thermal and Speed Fan Controller - Image 5](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/61zG8G0sIXL.jpg) ## Questions & Answers **Q: Can you turn off the backlit LCD display?** A: Of course you can. You can turn it on permanently or off if you prefer. There are also three settings available for the brightness. **Q: What is the temperature buffer in regular operating mode - how far does the temp have to go up or down before the fan comes on or shuts off?** A: An additional note on this, AFAICT there is no temperature buffer in smart mode, it only applies in auto mode. In smart mode the fan just toggles on and off continuously as the temperature hovers around the set point, making that mode kinda useless. Reported as a bug to AC Infinity... **Q: Does the fan have auto mode to turn on automatically based on temperature?** A: It is not the fan that have an auto mode, it is the AC Infinity Controller. I leave mine on Smart program all the time so when the temperature rise up the fans start to extract the heat gradually and silently. The warmer the receiver the faster they go until the temperature comes down again ( according to your program ) and then the system turns off automatically. This is a fantastic product and seeing how hot the receivers can get I can only highly recommend AC Infinity. Before my receiver could heat up to 42 degree celsius, now the temperature never goes above 30 degree celsius. Hope that helps. **Q: What is the highest temperature you can set the fans to come on at?** A: Nvm...It looks like they've updated to a newer model than what I have. They claim the new model is: 32 to 140*F ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Excellent bit of kit *by T***E on 25 November 2017* I use this to control 4 fans that keep the temperature down in a sideboard that houses my AV equipment. Mine is used in an AV cabinet on the lowest speed, which works perfectly and is near silent. Unable to obtain AC Infinity fans at a sensible price, but the coolerguys fans work fine. This is a much better controller than the CG version and cheaper. ## Frequently Bought Together - AC Infinity Controller 2, Fan Thermostat and Speed Controller, Controls AIRPLATE, MULTIFAN, USB Fans and Devices, for AV Cabinet Cooling - AC Infinity MULTIFAN S7, Quiet Dual 120mm USB Fan, UL-Certified for Receiver DVR PlayStation Xbox Computer Cabinet Cooling - AC Infinity MULTIFAN S5, Quiet Dual 80mm USB Fan, UL-Certified for Receiver DVR PlayStation Xbox Computer Cabinet Cooling --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.es/products/48039930-ac-infinity-standard-thermal-and-speed-fan-controller](https://www.desertcart.es/products/48039930-ac-infinity-standard-thermal-and-speed-fan-controller) --- *Product available on Desertcart Spain* *Store origin: ES* *Last updated: 2026-10-10*
