In the REAL WORLD the speed difference is more like 4 times. Still usefully faster for large game or video files, but unimportant for school or work files etc. Also note some cheaper usb3 flash drives are only very slightly faster than usb2 for sizeable files due to how quickly their cheapo internals actually work. **Q: I'm not familiar with technical terms. How do I know if I need USB 2 or 3?** A: You can use USB2 and USB3 connectors in both USB2 and USB3 ports. The USB2 port is slower and so will only work at a slower rate even if it has a USB3 inserted. Similarly if a USB3 port has a USB2 connector inserted it too will work at the slower rate. Google: "USB2 or USB3?" for less complex explanations than I can give. Apparently USB3 port with USB3 connector work at 10 times the rate. **Q: Will I be able to use it for my Nintendo Wii U?** A: Yes, i have used this on mine but you will need to install software on your pc to format it to fat32 for best experience! **Q: Could this USB work as a bootable windows 7 drive? My pc has no disk drive and i need a usb** A: It can yes.I've used it to boot W7 and W8Just use the "Windows 7 USB/DVD download tool"If you have the .ISO stored locally on your computer you can choose either a disk or USB, then image the ISO to either of them. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Good quality, fast delivery *by on Reviewed in the United Kingdom 5 October 2026* Works as it should. Usual good scandisk quality. Quick delivery. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Highly recommended. Reliable and good value for money. *by on Reviewed in the United Kingdom 19 June 2016* The SanDisk Cruzer Blade 64GB USB Flash Drive is excellent value for money. I bought this to send a large number of photos to a friend. This flash drive is compatible with all mainstream systems (Windows Vista, Windows 7, Windows 8, Mac OSX 10.6+). The item is compact at only 4cm long which means it's easily carried. There is a small hole in the top of the stick for attaching to a key ring. This is a USB 2.0 device and will work perfectly fine with both USB 2.0+ and USB 3.0+ ports. This flash drive is supplied with complimentary SecureAccess software which will enable you to encrypt and password protect critical files. The software works with Windows and Mac systems (you need to download the Mac version from SanDisk's website - full instructions are provided in a PDF document installed on the flash drive). Note that you do not need to use this security software if you don't want to secure your files. However, this is a useful feature if you store sensitive information on the drive and you choose to carry the stick around on your keyring! This particular model is currently available in storage sizes from 4GB to 128GB. I bought the 64GB version which is more than ample for my needs. The manufacturers blurb on this page and other sites provide useful reference tables to help you decide how much memory you need.In a simple test I transferred 650 photos from an Apple Macbook to this SanDisk flash drive. The total size of the transferred files was 2.17GB. The files transferred at a rate of 3.8 MB/Sec and completed in just over 9 minutes. Reading the files back from the flash drive was around 4 times quicker than write speed. There are more expensive flash drives out there. If you need a drive that's indestructible, extremely fast or has blinking lights to tell you that it's busy then this isn't the drive for you. For everyone else I highly recommend this item. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great item. Smaller than I was expecting. *by on Reviewed in the United Kingdom 3 July 2026* This is a very sleek, small usb stick with reasonable read/write speeds. Much smaller than I was expecting. Looks good and does the job. Very happy. ## Frequently Bought Together - SanDisk Cruzer Blade 64GB USB 2.0 Flash Drive- SDCZ50-064G-B35 - TV xStream [2 Pack] OTG Cable Adapter, 2-1 USB Cable for Firesticks 4K/4K Max/Cube/lite/2nd Gen Fire Stick Storage Expansion, Ethernet USB Port, Micro Power Connection - Amazon Fire TV Stick 4K Max streaming device (newest model) supports Wi-Fi 6E, free & live TV without cable or satellite --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.es/products/47885566-cruzer-blade-64gb-usb-a-flash-drive-black](https://www.desertcart.es/products/47885566-cruzer-blade-64gb-usb-a-flash-drive-black) --- *Product available on Desertcart Spain* *Store origin: ES* *Last updated: 2026-10-09*
