Dye with Primer for Natural and Synthetic Leather Shoes, Kaps Super Color and Preparer, 70 Colors (117 - Navy Blue)

This dye is awesome! I used the morello cherry color over a light brown and it turned out exactly how I wanted: a dark red, oxblood-like color. The dye is very true to it's color as pictured online and when you see it in the bottle. One coat looked great amazing. And while it covered up the original color entirely, the grain of the faux leather still showed through, which is awesome. It's also easy to apply - you just shake the crap out of the dye bottle to make sure it's an even color, rub the primer on, then paint your dye on the shoe. 24 hours later: BAM! New shoes! The bottle is pretty small, though, so I would get two if you're dying something bigger than a pair of ankle-high shoes (like knee-high boots or a jacket). I was planning to do both (boots & a jacket), but only bought one bottle to make sure it was the color I wanted. One bottle of dye aaaalllllmost covered both boots entirely in one coat. I bought a second bottle to finish up the last part of the second boot.

I bought a pair of spectators by free people that were a bright blue and off white.. but they didn't match ANYTHING.. so ordered this navy dye.. and I am sooo pleased. If I had a tiny brush.. I'd be happier.. but if you have a whole shoe to cover.. without tiny details to avoid.. I highly recommend it. My shoes are now fabulous and I can wear with all my blue/navy stuff!!! I am even thinking about redying some of my old favs

I use this in a couple of different ways. With shoes that are older and have gotten scuffed, it is a great touch up for the rough area, which I cover and blend into the rest of the shoe, and then polish the shoes overall for a renewed look. I have also used the deglazed and then dyed shoes entirely. This works very well, and I would get it again and try other colors out as well.

I bought this dye in hopes of fixing up my weather worn saddlebags. I must say it exceeded my expectations. I may have to update my review after a season of riding to see how it holds up. For now, however, I am impressed. They look like new.

This worked great with 2 coats for the leather piping on my change purse. However, the brush that came with the product was much too fat and clumsy to use on the piping area, so I had to purchase a separate, narrow natural brush to use with the dye. It was also fast drying, so that could be good or bad depending upon your coordination. I learned that I had to paint one side quickly, then go to another section. Also, I bought the black color because it came with the cleaner. I needed white, but it did not come as a set. (That's why the photo is of white piping) If a different brush came with this and the white dye came with the cleaner, I would have given the product more stars.

Bought this dye to use on a pair of cheap payless shoes which were some kind of synthetic?? fabric?? plastic?? Had my fingers crossed?! This stuff worked great on this synthetic material so I'm guessing it would be amazing on leather or canvas! Needed lime green flats for a Tinkerbell costume and they turned out awesome. Easy to use, easy to clean up and perfect coverage. Couldn't be happier!

I was terribly upset when two small (droplet-size) spots showed up on the armrest of our deep burgundy armchair a couple of days before Christmas! My husband must have "dripped" something caustic on it. Anyway, the original dye color was erased and the leather shown was very smooth and beige. Nothing would stick to it when I tried using markers, etc. So I turned to Amazon and found this product! And the price was perfect for this small job. I used the detailed color chart, picked red mahogany, and the choice turned out to be an exceptionally close match for my chair. The instructions indicated I should use the "preparer" to remove underlying dirt, stains, and old dye. But I discovered that I could simply skip that step (the area was clean already) and applied the new dye directly. And it worked! It blended perfectly into the surrounding leather! And it dried really fast - my armchair was back in service within a couple of hours. I didn't have to wait the recommended 48 hours. It's just the coolest product out there. For small spots, I'd recommend you get a small water-color size brush to apply it; there wasn't one in the small box I received. Or maybe use a little sponge. Anyway, this product saved my Christmas...no need to hide the armchair from visitors. In fact, I got compliments on it; no one was aware of the fix. A win-win for all.

The application was easy, even though it did not cover as well as I had hoped it would. I was dying a light greenish gray to white, it took 6 coats. I allowed drying time in between each application. Then I allowed them to dry for 3 days. I was putting them in my closet, and the dye just peeeled right off. So now I don’t have white boots, nor can I wear them them blotchy... so I essentially ruint my boots. Very disappointed, and hate that I paid to ruin my boots. I even contacted seller asking about coverage and how well the product worked before ordering the dye. I was told, no problem, it would work. Lesson learnt.

I havnt used this particular dye yet but have tried others and the effects have been super. Quick despatch and the kit comes with a sponge and brush, which is great.

Es un tinte excelente para zapatos. En mi caso eran zapatos de cuero natural, que como se puede ver en la foto estaban muy desgastados y sucios por el paso del tiempo (en la foto se ve un zapato sin teñir, y el otro teñido). La caja contiene un limpiador, el tinte, un pincel, una esponja y las instrucciones (que no vienen en español). Me llegó a los tres días de pedirlo. A mi me ha dado para teñir 2 pares de zapatos (4). Hay gente que dice que solo le da para 1 par de zapatos. Las instrucciones indican usar el limpiador que trae la caja para limpiar los zapatos primero, pero mi consejo es el siguiente: 1-Limpiar los zapatos con agua y jabón o champú, profundamente y sin miedo. Yo los puse bajo el grifo, y con un estropajo viejo y champú le di para sacar la suciedad y los restos de ceras y/o abrillantadores. Esto es mejor que usar el limpiador que trae. 2-Dejar secar un par de días o tres, para que estén bien secos. 3-Aplicar directamente el tinte con una brocha suave de 1 cm ó 2 cm de ancha, No uses la que trae en la caja, que es de pelos duros y muy pequeña, sino algo lo más suave posible. Si tienes brochas de artista mejor, y si no algo parecido a las brochas de maquillaje. En el pelo suave está el secreto, ya que hará una capa muy fina que cubrirá pronto sin mucha cantidad. Es preferible varias capas finas a una sola gruesa, ya que el producto cunde más. En mi caso di una primera capa fina, y una segunda más posterior al secarse la primera (seca muy rápido, en unos 5 minutos), con lo que los zapatos quedaron perfectos, como nuevos. Si alguna parte aun se resiste, le das un poco más a esa parte y ya está. Así, con una brocha suave, y en capas finas, cunde más que en capas gruesas, y el resultado es el mismo. He tintado 2 pares de zapatos, y aun me ha sobrado. Por mi parte, es un producto fantástico. Me ha sorprendido el gran resultado que da. En la foto se ve el estado de un zapato antes del tinte, y el otro tras la primera capa (luego le di otra más y algunos retoques). La diferencia salta a la vista.

Ich bekam vom Weihnachtsmann mein langersehntes Wunsch-Portemonnaie geschenkt, stand dann aber leicht unter Schock, als ich es aufklappte und die Innenfarbe sah 😱🤢. Nach tagelangem Überlegen, was ich denn nun mache, entschied ich mich, es umzufärben. Nach kurzer Suche entschied ich mich dann für 'Kaps', nicht nur wegen des unfassbar guten Preises, sondern aufgrund der vielen guten Rezensionen und - für mich noch wichtiger als das Geschriebene - die Vorher-Nachher-Bilder. Also gekauft und der Lieferung entgegengefiebert. Ausgerechnet dieses Mal hat Prime etwas länger gedauert, aber ich habs überlegt 😅. Nach Erhalt hab ich doch noch einige Stunden gezögert, denn der Preis des Portemonnaies war schließlich nicht ohne 🙈. Ich entschied mich daher, die Farbe erstmal nur am Zipper auszuprobieren, sollte es nicht oder unvollständig decken, wäre es dort nicht sooo schlimm. Also tiiieeef Luft geholt und den Zipper 2x angepinselt - und war sofort hellauf begeistert! Volle Deckkraft und der anfänglich leichte Glanz war nach ca. 10 Minuten gänzlich verschwunden, sodass es perfekt mit dem Äußeren harmonierte. Somit hieß es dann, Handschuhe an, Pinsel gegen Schwämmchen getauscht und los gings. Zuerst hab ich den Preparer aufgetan und ca. 1 Stunde gewartet, bis es richtig tief eingezogen war, dann kam der "Hauptakt". Die Farbe ließ sich super verarbeiten, ist seeeeehr ergiebig, farbintensiv und von der Konsistenz optimal - keine Tropfen oder anschließendes verlaufen! Insgesamt bin ich mit dem Schwämmchen 3x über die Flächen gegangen; 2x hätte es aber definitiv auch schon getan. Ich empfehle, dies zügig und in einem Rutsch - also ohne abzusetzen oder hin- und herzureiben - zu tun, sonst gibt es Streifen oder man sieht, wo man abgesetzt hat! Das Ergebnis ist einfach nur perfekt geworden, ich hab das Portemonnaie vorher schon geliebt, aber jetzt ist es einfach nur unfassbar perfekt für mich 😍🥰. Nach ein paar Stunden habe ich es dann noch (vorsichtshalber) gegen Schmutz, Fettflecke, Nässe imprägniert (ich kenne mich ja 😄), daher 'glänzt' es jetzt ein klein wenig mehr. Also Leute, traut Euch, man kann wirklich nix verkehrt machen, wie man anhand der Bilder sehen kann 🤗.
