A: I do not know what the inside configuration is.
I have these batteries. They last longer than any of the other batteries that I have.  Bought 2 and they worked so well I bought 2 more.

**Q: will this work on B&D weed eaters?**
A: They work just fine in my Black & Decker LST 300 Type 1 string trimmer. They are 20 volt.
