This 1/4" Stainless Steel Motorized Ball Valve from USA. USA The solid comes in a water safe stainless steel. It is a great choice for DIY project, but strong enough for large companies. The stem and valve body are composed of SS304 stainless steel, which is safe for drinking water. This is key, as many people use these valves in their home water systems. The valve is activated by 9-24V AC or DC.When energized, it will open fully in 3-5 seconds. Since this valve is a normally closed (N/C) ball valve, it will automatically return to a closed position when the power supply is removed. When fully open, a limit switch keeps the amount of energy used by the valve at minuscule levels. This makes it a much more environmentally friendly option than most solenoid valves. Most solenoid valves are fully energized when opened, which can lead to problems and overheating when running continuously. Review: Still working after 2 years - I bought this 1/4" NPT motorized valve as a backup for 2 identical valves that I installed over 2 years ago. They are still working so this one is sitting on the shelf "just in case." I installed this as a soap valve on my pressure washer along with a wireless remote that I also purchased from desertcart. This keeps me from having to walk to my pressure washer to turn the soap on or off. I can just pull the remote out of my pocket and press the button. The valve opens when you apply 12v dc. It automatically closes when you turn the 12v dc off. I do flush the valve with clear water after I use it so it should keep working for many years to come.

I bought this 1/4" NPT motorized valve as a backup for 2 identical valves that I installed over 2 years ago. They are still working so this one is sitting on the shelf "just in case."
