I haven’t used the matte by itself so I don’t know if that would drastically change the grippiness when it’s dry but I would think it might be better than the slick. It would dry flatter and would be less harsh rubbing against skin. Or if the matte isn’t nonslip enough, mixing the two kinds would work great. I’ve used these mostly for painting squishies and I mix the two kinds 50/50.
