Repeat customer. Bright an durable flashlight - I've had a mini flashlight on my EDC for about 6 or 7 years now and I have been through a few different brands here on desertcart. In the beginning I would buy based on price but I kept on finding that the KOOTEK brand was of higher quality (and maybe $1 more expensive if so much.) My most recent experience (with an older model) made me decide to write this review. It has lasted so long the paint is stripping and LED light fading. At least 3+ years of Every. Day. Carry. I use the 14500 battery to power them and my last one has lasted me so long I can't even remember where I kept the rest of them, or if I had given them away, so I am buying another pack that I know will last forever. Even though the design has changed a bit over the years the quality seems to remain the same. It is a great value proposition to spend ~$3 for one of these lights that I find so handy in everyday life. If I forget to carry it one day I always find myself reaching for it one way or another. I have given my mom, sister and wife to keep and I throw a few around my bed, house, car, etc. because they are so convenient. Even with AA batteries they are still great in a pinch. My EDC with the 14500 is extremely bright. Great product. Great price. Great value. Will continue buying these for the foreseeable future. Review: Work good, received quickly - 18 May 2018 ----- I am doing a second review for my purchase of Kootek flashlights. Since contacting the company, they have fully replaced my broken flashlight that was DOA (Dead On Arrival) at no expense to me. I am extremely satisfied with the company, and they still offer my 12 month warranty, and if I register my devices with them it will grow to an 18 month warranty. The replacement works as expected and I am very happy. The flashlights have already come in handy multiple times and I carry one on me as much as possible. 5 out of 5 stars. I will fully recommend these products to other people! What a great purchase. Below is my original review. -------------------------------------- Original review from 4 May 2018 I like these flashlights. They came pretty quickly. But the problem with them is that one of the 5 did not work. I tried new batteries, still I cannot get it to light up. If I could contact the seller for a replacement I'd appreciate that, but I do not know how. They are small in the hand, but a good size for the pocket if you're going camping, walking outside, or something like that. Nice aluminum body. The gaskets on them seem pretty tight, but not waterproof tight. Still I think they'd hold up in rain just fine. I plan to use them for various uses from around the house, yard, work, boat, truck, etc. This was a trial purchase, because I'm trying to find a good brand to purchase more in the future. ## Features - Ultra-Bright Flashlight: The flashlight has premium LED bulb with great output which produces an intense beam of bright light, up to 300 Lumen (max). - 3 Modes: High brightness, low brightness, or sos strobes, 3 useful settings available, you can switch it by pressing the button. - Zoomable Focus: Stretch the flashlight to adjust focus for long distance observation or outdoor large area illumination. - Water Resistant: IPX6 water resistance rating & skid-proof design, can be used in rain but not intended for diving. Perfect tactical handheld flashlights for cycling, hiking, camping and other outdoor activities. - Portable Flashlight: Belt clip design allows you to clip the light on your pocket, handbag, belt, convenient for you to take this small size flashlight anywhere. ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B06VSK99MC | | Additional Features | Adjustable Focus, Adjustable Light Modes, Non Slip Grip, Portable, Water Resistant | | Battery Description | AA, 14500 | | Battery Type | Lithium Ion | | Best Sellers Rank | #123,891 in Tools & Home Improvement ( See Top 100 in Tools & Home Improvement ) #1,400 in Handheld Flashlights | | Brand Name | Kootek | | Bulb Base | Wedge | | Bulb Shape Size | B9 | | Color | Black | | Customer Reviews | 4.5 out of 5 stars 3,068 Reviews | | Finish Types | Brushed | | Included Components | Flashlight | | Item Dimensions D x W x H | 3.75"D x 1"W x 1"H | | Item Dimensions L x W x H | 3.75"L x 1"W x 3.75"H | | Item Highlight | 300 Lumens, 3 Light Modes, Zoomable Focus, IPX6 Water Resistance Rating, Skid-Proof, Handheld Light, Belt Clip, for Outdoor | | Item Weight | 7.04 ounces | | Light Output Maximum | 300 lumens | | Light Source Special Features | Adjustable Focus | | Light Source Type | LED | | Manufacturer | Kootek | | Manufacturer Part Number | FBA_SP055 | | Material | Aluminum | | Material Type | Aluminum | | Model Number | FBA_SP055 | | Mounting Type | Clip-on mount | | Number of Items | 5 | | Number of Light Sources | 5 | | Power Source | Battery Powered | | Recommended Uses For Product | camping, hiking, cycling, outdoor activities, emergencies | | Set Name | 5 Pack | | Shape | Pen | | Size | 3.75 Inch L x 1 Inch W | | Special Feature | Adjustable Focus, Adjustable Light Modes, Non Slip Grip, Portable, Water Resistant | | Specification Met | true | | Style Name | Compact | | UPC | 746856464756 | | Unit Count | 5 Count | | Warranty Type | limited warranty | | Water Resistance Level | Water Resistant | | White Brightness | 300 lumens | ## Product Details - **Color:** Black - **Light Source Type:** LED - **Material:** Aluminum - **Power Source:** Battery Powered - **Special Feature:** Adjustable Focus, Adjustable Light Modes, Non Slip Grip, Portable, Water Resistant ## Images ![Kootek 5 Pack Mini LED Flashlights Adjustable Focus Pocket Pen Flashlight - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/7163qrl6bZL.jpg) ![Kootek 5 Pack Mini LED Flashlights Adjustable Focus Pocket Pen Flashlight - Image 2](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/61vW47E9UwL.jpg) ![Kootek 5 Pack Mini LED Flashlights Adjustable Focus Pocket Pen Flashlight - Image 3](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/51KxxIWqsFL.jpg) ![Kootek 5 Pack Mini LED Flashlights Adjustable Focus Pocket Pen Flashlight - Image 4](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/71ij1rY8wdL.jpg) ![Kootek 5 Pack Mini LED Flashlights Adjustable Focus Pocket Pen Flashlight - Image 5](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/61gp2kmlvgL.jpg) ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ GREAT Value. Low is convenient for situations where brighter light is not needed AND longer battery life may be required. Finish on aluminum body is decent. Size aluminum body with Tail Cap Switch to actuate the flashlight is IDEAL for using as self defense flashlight in one hand, keeping OTHER hand for holding firearm. Method of use too long to explain but requires a switch on end using thumb for turning on/off etc. LED is better than any bulb type flashlight. Clip keeps light handy on person or purse or Wherever so it's where you need it and WHEN. CON: Normally take ONE (1) Star off for long term durability until product Proves Itself. Also NOT brightest light for size. Having switch with OFF position between EACH setting is more nuisance than useful (personal preference issue). Personally keep so 1st click goes to HIGH or to Blinking setting.. If NON emergency then you'll have all time needed to cyle through clicks. WHY the sliding body is unknown at this time- having just received and little time spent. FYI: almost deducted ONE Star for NOT having batteries with the flashlights. YES-would add to cost of sale, Personal issue with product being sold which NEEDS a battery to function AND does NOT INCLUDE BATTERY NEEDED. Many customers may not look at details regarding WHAT TYPE of battery is needed and whether it's included or not. Not and not on hand, it's 15 miles and waste more than hour to get to closest store SELLING a battery which doesn't include anything outside AA, AAA or 9volt forget price. Walmart is 38 miles and hour drive ONE way.. so seller- ?? include batteries ??? BOTTOM LINE: What this flashlight has going for it, is VALUE/`. For what this flashlight cost (bought six, keeping three and three to give away) When you spec out features and compare to other products INCLUDING NAME products used by Law Enforcement departments, this is a really decent value, becoming a BARGAIN is durability is good- still to be determined.
