The device itself is very user friendly, and it looks good on the wall.
Review: Easy to use, easy to program, and easy to set up the app on your phone! - I just moved into a house built in the 90s that had a completely ancient thermostat. Honestly, I could not even figure out how to use it, it was just so archaic! I bought this and had a professional install it, so I can't comment on the installation process, but I can say that it didn't take the guy I hired too long to do it, and I didn't hear any groaning or swearing, so I'm guessing it was pretty easy as long as you know what you're doing! :-) The interface is very intuitive and easy to figure out, and setting up the app on my phone was a breeze -- the Ecobee unit basically walks you through it. Features: I can set the temperature I want it to cool my house down to, the temp I want it to heat my house up to, and I can set it to auto (it will heat or cool as necessary) or I can specially just tell it to cool or to heat. There are settings for vacation mode. But really the best for me is the app! If I'm away from the house, I can check on what the temp is and I can turn the heat or A/C on while I'm away -- say, 1 hour before I'm about to arrive home, so my house is at my desired temp when I arrive! Also, if I'm in my back room and feeling too lazy to walk to the center of the house where the thermostat is, I just whip out my phone, open the app, and turn the A/C on or off (whatever I am looking to do) without having to get off the couch! Ah, modern technology is awesome! :-) I did not integrate it with Alexa as I don't have Alexa, and I did not use the remote sensor so I cannot comment on that, though that does seem like a handy little extra!

**Q: Does it come with a 4wire to 5 wire adaptor to “ create” the C wire for power to thermostat?**
A: Yes. Everything is there

**Q: do you need to purchase the bracket to mount the thermostat or can you do it without it?**
A: The Ecobee 4 comes with mounting screws and screw anchors.  I've installed three Ecobees in my home and have not needed a special bracket.  It also comes with a suitable back plate to cover up any holes left by a bigger thermostat.

**Q: Does it have a battery backup? I got rid of my Ecobee3 because it would lose its mind and not come back after a power failure.**
A: Not a changeable battery, but there is a coin-cell back up battery.

**Q: How many sensors can you connect to one ecobee4?**
A: Looks like you can pair up to 32 sensors to the Ecobee 4.

Love these things. Bought 2 one for each AC unit. They can be programmed for day time, sleep time, away time, vacation time. Do t have to worry about changing the thermostat up and down or forgetting to turn up or down at night or in the mornings when waking up. Has Alexa and remote sensors to tell temps of rooms needed the most. Can lock out the keypad so no one can change the temp or settings. Came with step by step instructions for install. Very simple install and self explanatory.
