Find a stud and put two 1.5 inch drywall screws in at 6 3/16 inches apart. The should stick out about 1/4 inch. Mount the plug bar, cord at top, on the screws and pull down slightly. If you don't have a couple dry wall screws laying around you can use any screw with a head that fits in the keyhole. **Q: can the usb ports be used for data transfer , as well as charging ?** A: If you are asking if it can be used as a conduit to transfer data from one source to another if they both are plugged into it then that is a No. It has no abilities to connect devices together or allow them to move data between them.
