Review: Attractive and durable counter protector. - I love this little mat. I have in front of my espresso machine and use it as a tamping mat. It looks great and it is thick and durable and much more attractive than those small black tamping mats they sell. It has nubs for traction but they are contained inside of the silicon so that the mat has a smooth but bumpy surface making it a breeze to clean with a damp cloth. It stays put and is the perfect 12x12 size. It is also heat resistant so a hot pot can be set on it if you want to use it as a trivet. The frost color is perfect on my quartzite counters and it protects the counter from scratches. Just wipe it off and it’s ready to serve. Tried to find a reason to buy more and would definitely buy again. Wish it came in larger sizes.
