These are so nostalgic, just like the jellies I remember stomping around in on a family vacation to Rosarito, MX as a little 8 year old kid. But the biggest difference is the comfort. The jellies of yesteryear were so damn uncomfortable. They would leave blisters from all the rubbing. These sandals, especially the cushy padded sole are so comfortable and require absolutely no breaking in period. The only negative I’ve noticed so far is the smell. I assumed the scent would be a synthetic smelling one yet I pictured a strawberry shortcake type vibe. These have more of a synthetic grape scent married with a funky foot smell right out of the box. I put them on my dresser still in the box and laid down for a nap with a headache. I could smelll them from across the room. Thankfully the smell has mellowed a bit but still. That scent was a choice. Overall they are definitely more than I’d normally pay for something like this but so comfortable, cute and well worth it. Plus they’re cheaper than the brand website.
