One or two clamps?** A: They don’t work on our windows! They are made for very old thin trailer house windows.. and if they would have worked only would need 1 I hope this helps. **Q: Will these locks work on a vertically sliding window as well?** A: I used them in vertical windows. The thing to watch for is that the opening on the locks is wide enough slide onto your window track. **Q: Can this work on a partially opened window to keep it from being opened further?** A: Yes they work perfectly for that. I have young kids but I also love having fresh air in the house. These are a bit smaller than what I’m used to. They do the job. I just put 2 so I can be sure each window is locked. Would rather have had just the standard size. But no real complaints with the products ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Had to modify *by S***E on Reviewed in Canada on 19 October 2020* I had to pry them open to actually fit my window and once I did so it wouldn’t lock into place had to get a thrill and bore a hole for it to thread into. Cheap but did the job so can’t complain ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Works Great for Me, Good Quality *by B***T on Reviewed in the United States on 4 October 2019* I'm not sure why these don't work for some people. For me, they work great. I've used them on 2 different homes and it is impossible to open a window or the sliding glass doors from outside when they are in place. The locks fit easily onto the window frame, screw on tightly, and are easy to remove if you want to open the window. I do use 2 of them on the sliding glass doors, one at the top and one at the bottom of the sliding section of door. My 80 year old mother was worried about some recent break-ins in her neighborhood so I put a set on her windows and sliding glass door. After I demonstrated how I couldn't open the window from outside even if the window was unlocked, she felt reassured and now sleeps much more soundly in her own home. Recommended item. I paid full price for item and am not being compensated for this review in any way.
