The strap at the ball of the foot appears to probably give an extra 1/2" to 1" adjustment and may accommodate an extra wide foot. In any case there appears to be lots of adjustment you can do. This sandal is probably the most comfortable one I ever wore. **Q: Is walking in salt water at the beach bad for the leather on these sandals?** A: Isn’t salt water bad for all leather?
