However, I was pleasantly surprised! I needed to add a plate on the underside of my fiberglass to keep the nuts locked down, but the item does a tremendous job. I trailer my boat and park in a boat storage area. I can't afford to leave my $2000 Minn Kota on my boat. It only takes me 30 seconds to take it out of the bed of my truck and set it on the boat or to take it off and put it back in my truck.
