What is their purpose?** A: They keep the metal sections from rubbing on each other (and damaging the painted finish) when you have it folded. Keep them there. I found out the hard way that if you don't use them, the edges of the folded sections rub together and ruin the look of the cane at the joints. **Q: I'm 5' tall and having trouble finding a can that is short enough for me. Do you think this cane will work?** A: I am about 5’ 2” and thought the cane was perfect. It has 3 adjustments, so I think you should have no problem with it. **Q: I see that other canes offer different bases that adjust to your moves. Are there any for this cane?** A: Most bases fit a standard size cane. Curato ogni dettaglio: manico in gomma di facile impugnatura dello stesso colore e materiale del gommino alla base del bastone. La vernice è stupenda....non è messa in risalto nella foto.
