This microscope is much better than anything used 40 years ago. it is a very nice piece of equipment that will allow any level of skill to pursue their quest into the microscopic world. Highly recommend it. It appears that it should last a life time. The camera worked well, easy to install software. It is amazing that such precision is available for such reasonable prices.

I've been using this microscope for a few months now and am very pleased. The picture isn't perfect and the illuminator isn't great, but I'm able to capture quality photos with the third objective fairly easily. The build is all solid and everything works as it should. Camera was easy to set up. Only major complaint is that there is a small dark spot on the camera image.
