We have a privacy tent we setup at the beach where we park our truck. We bring a flushable portable toilet used on boats and camping trips. Bathrooms are impossible to find and if they exist, are always filthy. We needed stakes that can hold in the sand. These are the answer. Expensive but worth every penny. I mean these suckers held the tent in place with some fairly high winds at the beach. The last thing we want to happen is for the privacy tent to blow away will we we're sitting on the toilet. LOL Review: Perfect - Just tried these while backpacking in Rocky Mountain National Park. Held well in soft spring snow and were frozen in nicely by morning. A gentle kick or prodding with another stake got them to release pretty easily. I had a few orange REI snow stakes which also worked well. REI were cheaper but the MSR stakes are slightly wider and may hold a bit better. Both brands were about the same weight and worked well for me.
