Bought several pairs for my mom and pockets are a requirement. They’re fairly deep too. Nice sweat pants. **Q: I am 5'5" and 112 lbs. Usually wear a small/med. Would a large be better for these pants? The sizing chart shows waist measurements 14 to 18" ???** A: That waist measurement is made with the pants laying flat and measuring one side...so all you have to do is double the inches, and you will have the right measurement. For example, the size chart for these pants says a small is 14" which means the waist circumference is 28". Their large is 16" which is a 32" waist. **Q: 5'8" and 120lbs what size would be good for me?** A: I'm 5'8" and 135 lbs. I normally wear a 4-6, small or medium, and prefer a looser fit. However, I sized up to large on these after reading several reviews that advised that. But I had to return the large pants and exchange them for my normal mediums. (I think maybe the under-sizing problems may in the larger range?) Unfortunately, the inseam for all sizes on their chart is 29" and this is accurate -- at least an inch too short for 5'8". The model in their photo must be under 5'7". So, to answer your question, you would fit in a small IF you want to wear them at ankle-length. **Q: After several washings would a size large be long enough for me? This isn't a sloppy looking pair of sweats (as compared to other sweats). They do run slightly small- I wanted them to be really loose and ordered a size up - this was a good thing because the pants ended up fitting just right instead of being loose.There is a problem with them though: the pockets are too small. My smartphone (which is fairly small compared to the new models), falls out of these pockets as soon as I sit down. Before owning these sweatpants, I've dropped this phone ONCE in the 4-5 years that I've had the phone. Since owning these pants, I've dropped my phone 8-10 times - I've almost trained myself not to put the phone in my pockets anymore, but this pair of pants is not my favorite sweats, and this is the only reason why. Last year I tried finding new pairs and had not success so I was excited when I saw there were a few pairs listed this year. I ordered 2 in navy and the supposed last pair in grey. The grey pair I was sent do NOT HAVE POCKETS. The navy ones do. I must have pockets. MUST! So finding pants this weight and this fit with pockets is not something I have been able to do. I'm thrilled to get the navy ones, but very disappointed the grey one DO NOT HAVE POCKETS.
