Her son is apparently a magnet for jellyfish. She watched a video where a woman put a jellyfish on her arm while wearing this & didn't get stung. However, while her son hasn't been stung while wearing it, she couldn't swear that there were jellyfish near him on those days. She also told me that the only thing she didn't like is that it's really thick, like Vaseline. I'm saying all this to make my point... We live on a river that has lots of jellyfish in the summer. I hate not being able to swim when I see them. So I bought a bottle and decided to test it out for myself! First of all, it did NOT feel like Vaseline. It wasn't nearly as thick as I was told it was. I made sure to put it everywhere on my legs when I went to test it. As expected, there were plenty of jellies to use as test subjects. After getting up the nerve (and keeping the hubby on standby with a handful of sand), I walked into a jelly. He slipped right past my leg. So I kicked at it to get it on the front part of my leg. He just slid right off! And NO STING! I did this several times to make sure I was actually touching it's tentacles, and every time, it either slid past or off my leg. I'm sold!!!! And the sunscreen aspect works, as well! We were out in full sun for several hours and I didn't burn. It's pricey for the size of the bottle. But I will only use this when I'm swimming with jellies. So I won't use it at the pool or the ocean. Which means it should last a couple of seasons. A jellyfish sting isn't life-altering, but who wants to experience it? Not me. The piece of mind I now have, knowing that it definitely works, is worth every penny I paid for it!!!!!
