Of course it does not save or record your typings, but when you need to keep things for short term, then this's for you! One of the best use is when kids are trying to solve math problems. GCSE exams, A-Level, university... wherever your kid study at, just get this, and they'll love it. Since it's big in size, even the longest math questions will fit in this, single page. It uses one little flat battery (similar used in watches and easy to find) and lasts for months if not years. Mine is still the same battery a year after delivery from its original pack. This is fine in what it does do, even though that is very limited. But it DOES NOT have USB connectivity, as the advert claims. Useless for my purposes therefore.
