Rub it onto the surface by hand and then buff off excess later with an old t-shirt or other cloth. The only drawback I have found is that once you have done this there is no going back in to add, change, or adjust anything in the painting **Q: Can I used cold wax medium with acrylic paint ? I do not paint with oi** A: You can mix oil paints or pigment with the wax medium, but acrylic paint won't work for coloring the wax. Wax medium is oil-based and acrylic paint is water-based so they won't mix well. You can always apply the wax over the acrylic paint after it has dried, but I'm not really sure what you are trying to do. If you are just wanting to add texture, I would recommend working with gesso or acrylic gel medium. **Q: Can I used it with acrylic .
