YMMV depending on how much pomade you use and your shampoo. **Q: How long should i leave the wax in my hair or i have to wash my hair everyday ? can i sleep with this product? what about hair loss?** A: Petroleum based products can remain in hair a few days before the hair gets dirty enough that you want to wash it out. Some say that years of pomade use can contribute to hair loss as it tends to clog hair folicels. So you want to not over do it. Give your scalp a break by throughly washing and switching for a while to a water soluble pomade which is less prone to clogging pours. You can sleep with pomades and if you use a lot you may want to use a doo rag to avoid having your pillows getting greasy. **Q: I've been using dax wave and groom in the orange and red can and noticed that sometimes it's thick and sometimes not. Is this high and tight thicker?** A: High and Tight is not thick, it's solid. You really have to work it in your palms to get it ready to spread in your hair. Once in your hair it doesn't come out unless you want it to.
