When I'm near cold water, I fly fish. But everything, and I mean everything else is done with a Mepps and a spinning rig. I'm 60. I've fished them all - Flatfish, Rebels, Daredevils, you name it. For artificial bait nothing beats a Mepps. Period. Full Stop. End of sentence.Now, I ain't gonna lie to you. Mepps has offered some weird lures. Once they proved they had a winner, well, they had to try to improve it. In most cases it didn't work. Stick with the basic in either gold or silver.
