So I first purchased the okuma PCH custom 801XH to pair with my new Penn Fathom LD2 30 and I couldn't be happier with the results! I live in San Diego and frequent the overnight and 1-2 day trips to mexico for Pacific bluefin, yellowfin, yellowtail and Dorado. I run 65lbs braided line and add 20' of top shot 25-50lbs. The biggest fish I've caught so far on this rod is a 95lbs bluefin tuna. It took over 2hrs to reel the fish in but the deckhands were complementing the rod, the reel was a little under gunned for a near hundred pound tuna so I bought the second the go with Penn Fathom LD2 40N. Also a great combo.
