Myself and my brother have used them for about a total of 2 30m-1h fights. On the very hard and aggressive conditions. (There's a lot of pent-up anger between the two of us). They handle surprisingly well and are relatively light. They hurt bad enough not to want to get hit but you can smack each other across the jaw with him without any significant damage. (Neither of us know how to use a sword). Edit: The third fight the PVC broke. The only damage that has been sustained on the swords themselves is from a downward strike which hit my brother's thumb and thumbnail (which is abnormally long) That ripped it a little bit. But it's easily fixed with tape. The swords have good flexibility, they have good durability, only complaint that I have is on the grip itself. After 30 minutes to an hour with all the sweat and weakening of your grip it becomes very hard to hold the mostly smooth plastic. Even though I consider myself a martial artist and did kendo when I was younger, there will be some level of annoyance getting attacked when walking in the door after work by two foam swords. These can hurt.
