Holding off button for 1 second oppose to a fast click helps, but most times I must click off 3-5 times before it happens. Switch and box are about 9 ft away (panty overhead light) Install was super easy, box is small enough to fit inside ceiling wire box. Switch feels cheap but price was cheap, no problems there ** Shortly after I left my review the company reached out and offered assistance- they sent me a new switch and instructions to program it. it now works flawlessly. super impressed with the level of customer service for such a cheap product.

As afew others have noticed, turning it off can troublesome at times, however if you give it 5 or 10 seconds it will usually shut off. It never seems to have issues with turning on. The range is plenty for me and seems to me it would be good for most people. I don't love the look of the switch. But it's doable. The part that goes in the light can be alittle large to get in, once you find the right spot it will fit right in.
