It probably works fine on other boats but the nose and tail of the trailblazer was too round/wide to get a good tight grip. even with considerable effort to get the lock tightened, I found that I could just slip one end off of the boat and then the whole thing was free. The cable is too long to hold my kayak securely and if I loop it around one of the wooden beams on my rack just one more time, it wont reach at all. I have spent hours upon hours every time I lock it back up trying to figure a way to get it on securely and I am now convinced it is impossible.
