Better than expected

Not burning well
Pretty jar, so I’m definitely keeping it, but I’m disappointed in the way the wick is burning. It barely shows any fire at all and seems like it’s about to go out at all times. The scent is very light, but that could be because I chose a typically lighter fragrance. It has to be ‘burning’ a really long time to notice it at all. For the price, the jar alone is worth it, but I’ll definitely not be buying this for its candle purposes again.

What a Disappointment - EDIT 01/22/24
When you buy a more luxuriously priced candle, it comes with expectations—the bare minimum having a pleasant and strong scent. This has zero scent. I’ll have 90+ hours of a burning candle with no benefit besides the flame. The wood wick doesn’t even crackle. I purchased a few Aldi candles and I’m shocked to say they were 10x better than the gardenia candle. If this candle had a scent of 2/10, Aldi had a scent of 7/10 and it cost $5 vs $28. EDIT (01/22/24): The team at La Jolie reached out to say they were disappointed to hear the candle wasn’t meeting my expectations and offered to replace it with a new one. I choose Rose, and it was WONDERFUL! The rose smell was way stronger than gardenia and the scent filled the room without being over powerful. The crackle was louder as well. Maybe it’s a difference between the oils used to create the smell of one versus the other, but this one definitely delivered. 5 stars for the company, 5 stars for the rose candle, 2 stars for the gardenia - a healthy 4-5 stars overall.

Wonderful gardenia candle!
Love, Love this candle even when not lit. If you love Gardenia and you can light it for an hour and still have fragrance lingering!
