I cannot say enough about this pack. It worked perfectly for my wife (female Kyte version) and I. I'm 6', 185lbs, and I used the S/M frame, which fit well. The pack has great adjustability, the perfect amount of pockets, and is comfortable. Fully loaded, the longest we had our packs on was for 10 miles through Kraków, Poland. We used the rain fly in a downpour, and our gear stayed dry. One pair of shoes (11) and one pair of sandals fit easily in the bottom compartment. What made our life easier was a pair of packing cubes.If you are planning a "city" backpacking trip for one week to 40 days, this truly is the perfect pack. Chances are if you are looking at this you have done a ton of research. The best thing I can probably say is that it is what it says it is. Just be sure you get the right size for your body (be sure to look at REIs video for how to measure yourself, or someone's guide at least), and be sure that 38L will be enough for you.
