Review: Direct replacement, so far so good - Had to replace the original supplied safety cables due to them getting caught within the tow bar on a corner and one of the cables almost pinched in half. That was user error but found these and everything is good again. There are a lot of tow bar safety cables/chains but of varying length and design. Getting the direct replacement is more costly but at least I know it works with the Roadmaster Nighthawk 676 tow bar. Never had to formally use them and hope I never have to.

**Q: How long is it uncoiled.**
A: It will stretch 6' or more... plenty to connect rear of tow vehicle to front of towed vehicle

**Q: What is the load rating for the cable, 10K?**
A: I don't know the load rating, but I pull a 2 door jeep wrangler.  I remember it is at least rated to pull my jeep.

**Q: Which do you connect the hook end to? Towbar or vehicle? Thanks.**
A: I don’t think it makes a difference but I hook the hook ends to my motor home.

**Q: will the 643 cables slide thru the sterling tow bar cable/electrical cord channel?**
A: Not easily--they are coiled.  You want the straight cables.
