The inside is cushioned in a hexagon way to absorb internal impacts. I will say the pockets seem a bit flimsy and easy to rip but I can assure you not. A: I use my MacBook Air 13.3 inch, plus a hard cover and it still seems to fit fine in this laptop sleeve.

**Q: Can this case prevent your laptop feeling compression within a bag or is the zip part of the case more soft?**
A: It's not indestructible, but it is a hard shell case all round, and the zip only slightly detracts from that.  I'd be happy to bundle my surface tablet in the case in a rucksac with various hard objects (like its charger) and be confident the tablet wouldn't be harmed.

I spent a lot of time finding the ideal MacBook Air 13” M5 case and this is it! I needed something that could take a drop and protected all the corners. It needed to be as slim as possible to fit in my messenger bag. The overall quality is excellent, it feels well made, looks the part and is not overly bulky like many cases are. In fact, so many out there don’t offer the protection this one does. Hopefully the video will assist you in making the decision. Apologies it’s a little off centre, but you get the idea.
