I have an application that is about 30”x50” and want to make sure one bottle is sufficient** A: It depends on how many coats you plan to apply, but a 16 oz bottle should be plenty enough for at least 2 coats (the very minimum I apply for a protective coating) and likely more if you do thin coats, which will give you the best end result anyway. **Q: Is it plastic safe?** A: Plastic isn't typically porous, but it should be fine as long as it is applied correctly and allowed to CURE (not just dry) COMPLETELY before the item is handled alot. It's important to follow the directions with this stuff if you want to get the best end result. **Q: Once it dries up, is it Dishwasher safe both finishes?** A: As stated in the other answer, there is a dishwasher safe version of Mod Podge; in fact, I have it but have never tested it by washing anything in a dishwasher. It has a dark aqua-colored label (not blue, that's yet a different version). It says "Dishwasher Safe Gloss" right below the Mod Podge name.
