But I saw this, and it was cheaper and in bigger packages, so I thought I'd give it a try (I use a lot of ginger, so it makes more sense anyway). It turned out to be really fresh, high-quality organic ginger. So I think this will be my new source for ginger and other spices.Some thoughts on organic food and India:I also like the idea of supporting organic agriculture in India. India has a long history of making health-promoting healing spices a part of every-day eating, and I've tried to learn from that. Unfortunately, the American chemical GMO industrial agriculture of Monsanto has infiltrated India in recent decades, with disastrous consequences. In response to that, however, (much like in America) an organic non-toxic food movement has emerged and has been growing rapidly every year. I choose organic food not only for my own health, but to support farmers growing good, clean, healthy food in a regenerative manner (as opposed to degenerative destructive industrial chemical agriculture).
