## Description

It is extensively cultivated for its sweet and sour acidic fruit, which are sold in the market during summer months under the name falsa. The sherbet or squash is prepared from the fruit pulp by mixing it with sugar and used as an astringent, stomachic and cooling agent.The root is used by Santhal tribals for rheumatism. The stem bark is said to be used in refining sugar, for making ropes and its infusion is used as a demulcent. The leaves are used as an application to pustular eruptions. The buds are also prescribed by some physicians.It has become naturalised and locally invasive in Australia and the Philippines.

Review: Needs care and repotting - I received the plant almost dying as during transport it was probably over watered or so . The soil was so wet even after two days it did not dry. After reading care instructions with online forums. I carefully removed the soil the plant came with, used organic potting soil and some epsom salt , mixed the clay soil removed from the plant roots with this potting mix and added it to a new pot. After one month, there are new shoots and leaves growing. The plant will need care and dont leave it as it is .

However plant is still live and struggling. Not received in good condition. Most of leaves were already dried when received. Poor packaging done by seller. Not provided healthy plant. It is in same condition so far as shown in photo.
