My search was precipitated by a negative experience (inconsistent quality) with another low acid coffee company/product, I exclusively drink dark roast coffee because of its strong flavor and because it has less caffeine..Lifeboost definitely has a bold and strong taste, but it is not bitter (I drink my coffee black). I can also drink a couple of cups in the morning and not feel loopy or jittery. I also "bullet proof" it it in the blender with a tablespoon of coconut oil if I need a caffeine kick in the afternoon. It makes a very yummy coconut latte..I am a repeat customer (at least five orders of a minimum of two bags/order) and the beans consistently have been fresh and (most important to me) all dark roast! No stomach upset. And no skin rash from too much acid!Is it pricey? If you love coffee and you need low acid beans with great flavor, then the answer is: You're worth it!. Do the math for yourself -- if you buy your coffee by the cup at a cafe or commercial chain, purchasing and grinding your beans will save you a ton of money, even at this price.
