I have 3.5mm and it’s too big got a conversion to 2.5mm and it’s too small. One of the most surprising things was how bad some commercial mixes sounded on these, and how good others were. I would highly recommend these speakers for the (sale) price.It is true that the low end is a bit weak, so you may need to get a sub. I recently upgraded from a pair of KRK Rockit's and at first, I wasn't that impressed but it's a subtlty that you notice like upgrading a car. You first notice a slight difference, but when you go back to the old product you then notice a vast difference.Clean, clear, balanced....I'm super impressed on the sound stage and clarity of these and give them my highest recommendation.
