## Questions & Answers

**Q: How much dry time? ... before sanding & buffing?**
A: In the video from the company I believe it said allow to dry/cure for 24 hours. But I found it can depend/depends on how much you use/used. It does take some work to file and sand. I even used a Dremel sanding tube thing to bring it close. Then sanded by hand. On the small piece I did, I used files. I mean, I used a little on a small item and I was filing in about 45 minutes to an hour maybe

But to be honest, even if the directions and the company in their video said to wait 48 hours, I would. Because this stuff is fantastic. I was concerned and hesitant at first. Watched their video on repairing motorcycle fairings multiple times. Then did it. Let me tell you that I fret over a whole lot of nothing. It is super easy to use. Just put the liquid for what you think you'll need in the little bottle for the needle, put as much of the powder in the container for powder, fill it up almost all the way, and put the tip in, slowly squeeze the bottle of liquid until it drips once or twice, depending on how much you need or want to work with, into the powder, stab where you just dripped the liquid, put it where you need it, squeeze the bottle so the liquid comes out to remove the ball and level it out as best as you can once it comes off the needle.

**Q: Does this have a bad smell while using**
A: You can definitely smell the liquid but you have to get really close to feel like it is overwhelming. You should use in a open environment and maybe ensure you have air movement if you are sensitive. I don't think the smell seems bad but that seems like a personal perspective.

**Q: Is it flexible?**
A: It is flexible, like paste, before it dries but is rigid after setting. After drying, it has the similar flexibility of the material being repaired.

**Q: Please explain how to clean the applicator needle after use ?**
A: To be completely honest with you, I’ve used the kit like 5/6 times and after each time I left the powder I didn’t use in the little cup with the lid, the rest of the liquid I put back into the original bottle it comes in and then the needle, the little squirt bottle and the little filler bulb thing I just rinse out them all out with warm water.

I fill the squirt bottle and rinse it and then fill it again and put the needle on and squirt warm water through it several times and again, flush out the little filler bulb thing and then shake as much water out of everything I rinsed as best as I can and then I use a paper towel and twist it as small as I can and do whatever else it takes to get it into what I can and dry the squirt bottle and other stuff I can get paper towel into and then let it all sit and air dry for a bit then put it away.

Like I said, I’ve used my kit 5/6 times and done this after each use and I haven’t had any issues using it the next time.

To be honest, again, I think you could leave the stuff in the little squirt bottle and leave the needle on it with its cover on it but I can’t and won’t do that. For one, it’ll probably evaporate over time. But the main reason I won’t do that is because it’s harder to store and more of a fire hazard. Doing it how I explained and putting it all back in the box it stores easier and it isn’t as much of a fire hazard.

Good luck

## Customer Reviews

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ This stuff is incredible!
*by J***K on August 14, 2021*

I’m in the process of restoring a 1969 Dodge Charger and it came time to do the grill. It was badly cracked in several places due to a previous front end collision. They do make a reproduction grill for this car, but the cost is $1500, so I decided to check the forums and see what other restorers recommended regarding a possible repair method. Many recommended this product. When it came in, I thought to myself I’d probably have to order 5 more kits to get this project done, but I was amazed how far so little product can go! I still have 1/2 of the one I ordered left! Every broken mount tab was recreated using this product! Adhesion was unbelievable. The visible cracks were sanded flat after repair and couldn’t even be seen before paint! The texture and color of this product was exactly the same as the ABS plastic used in the grill. The end result far exceeded my expectations! If you have rigid plastic that needs repair, this is the stuff you need! It’s world’s above using epoxy!

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Plastic repair

Love this stuff, use it quite a lot in old car interior repairs. Stronger than the 30 + yr old original

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Amazing results with proper prep and technique!
*by J***E on September 8, 2024*

The media could not be loaded. I got this product after watching several Utube videos on plastic repair.I recently snapped a huge piece of my motorcycle’s fairing off while doing a coolant drain and refill. *It’s important to note that this fairing is ABS, not sure how well this works on other plastics, but for my application it was amazing!I decided to use a dremmel with a carbide ceramic bit made for acrylic fingernails to “channel out” along the inside edge of both pieces. This way, once the pieces were taped together a “V” grove ran the length of the split. Once everything was ready, I taped the pieces together (on the painted side) with blue 3m painters tape. I followed the included instructions and placed a few “spot welds” at the top, bottom, and center of the two pieces. I then filled in the channel from the center spot weld down, then repeated this from the top spot weld to the center. The results are nearly perfect, which says a lot for my first time using this! The repair was extremely solid (see video) and I had the fairing back on the bike to “degas” in the sun about 30-mins after I started.Time will tell how well this repair will hold up, but as of now, I couldnt be happier. If I could give this product 10 Stars, I would! 💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯
