Before my first use I just washed it up and it was good to go. I completely LOVE the fact that there is more room in the water bottle to fit a little more than a gallon because I like to put my cucumbers and lemons in and it doesn’t deter from the amount of water I am consuming. Since it’s just one bottle you completely forget about the fact that you’re drinking an entire gallon and could easily go back for a refill! The bottom of the bottle has rubber so I see where the shockproof comes in at. Also, having the strap AND the handle on this bottle is utterly GENIUS!!
