Not perfect as it still suffers damage from drought and heavy use (dogs and grandkids) However, it recovers strong and thick I am now to the point that I do not need to seed damage as it will self repair. Germinates well with early season sowing, but not as fast as fescue. Review: A beautiful shade of green - This seed takes some nurturing to get started. You can expect to see seedlings about 2-3 weeks out. At around 5-6 weeks you'll see the grass starting to get stronger and thicker. However, don't expect things to look lush till around 8 weeks. That is a lawn grass which is a cool season grass. Now, I have used SPF-30 in several locations in my lawn (Nashville area) and it germinates quickly which I like. It is a very thin-bladed grass but grows densely. If you like a thin bladed gras, try some SPF-30. It seems hardy where I have used it, beneath trees and in heavily compacted soils. It does well. You can't let it get too long, though, for it lays over rather than cuts (unless you have a reel mower like golf courses). My Snapper mower is a standard rotary blade. Bluegrass is a "Cool Season" grass and should do well in Michigan. Go to "Outside Pride" web site and read about it. You'll find out some good info.
