It's stylish and comfortable for me and for my 15lbs poodle/yorkie. I went with the XL because my dog is very long. The large would have probably worked too but I like the extra room and I will put a very thin soft blanket in the bottom. It was very easy to get my dog into the sling and she was comfy and happy to be in it. Fast, efficient delivery. I have an Outward Hound pet sling that I normally use but find too hot for warmer weather for her so I bought this one for the warmer days. She is not a big walker and has to be carried away from the house as she refuses to walk! This is perfect. It's light weight, keeps her much cooler than her other sling, she's comfy and sits with one paw hanging out of it and her head leaning on the edge! If I could design this differently for me, I would make the flap be able to open completely and the string to tighten up the bag around the dogs head for escaping purposes does not allow this bag to open all the way. I'm thinking of just cutting it off as I use this as a bag and not a "carrier" per se. Otherwise I really like this item and like others have reported the bottom is "mushy" and does not provide any support, my dog like that but I can see where others would not.
